Sunderland chase Parker

Sunderland have been linked with a move for West Ham midfielder Scott Parker. A report released on Tuesday night suggested that The Black Cats will pay £9m to land the England international.

Parker has also been linked with a move to Everton and Tottenham, but Steve Bruce wants to start spending some of the £20m received in the Jordan Henderson deal on the Hammers star player, name Premiership player of the season last year.

Sunderland will offer Parker a contract in the region of £85,000 a week, according to rumours.
