Jonny Evans staying put at Man Utd

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans will be staying at Old Trafford next season. The Northern Irish international had been linked with a summer move, and Wolves and Tottenham had both been following the player.

Evans has been told that he has a future at Old Trafford, and that he should report for pre-season training starting today.

Wolves had been linked with a £5m offer for Evans, but talk of a summer exit has been brushed off by Alex Ferguson who insists the player will be an important part of the first team for many years to come.
