Fabregas returns to Arsenal

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is on his way back to London for pre-season training, despite talk that the player will be moving to Barcelona in the coming weeks. Arsenal and Barcelona have reportedly been locked in negotiations for the midfielder.

Arsenal's valuation of £40m seems to be wide of the mark for Barcelona, who have offered just£32m of that.

With Arsene Wenger keen to sort out the future of the Spaniard before the pre-season trip to Asia, Barcelona will have to come up with an extra £8m before they can discuss terms with Fabregas.

Fabregas is said to be happy to return to training with Arsenal, but has told friends that he will be playing at the Nou Camp next year.
