Chelsea reward Conte with fresh contract
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has agreed to a fresh three-year contract following his impressive managerial debut in the Premier League.
The Italian has managed to transform the Blues into genuine title favourites this season following a lacklustre campaign last term.
The Blues had initially struggled in the top flight with defeats to Liverpool and Arsenal, but the change to the 3-4-3 formation has helped the side evolve into an unbeatable force.
With just one league defeat since October, the west London club find themselves at the top of the summit, eight points ahead of Manchester City.
According to The Express, the former Juventus man has inked a new deal until the summer of 2020 - a one-year extension on his previous contract.
Conte had been recently linked with a big-money move to Inter Milan, and this seems to have urged the Blues' hierarchy to commit the Italian to a long-term contract.
Chelsea still have the realistic chance of clinching a domestic double this term, should they beat Manchester United in the quarter-finals on March 11.
