Robbie Keane to Birmingham City?
Birmingham City boss Harry Redknapp is reportedly eyeing a reunion with Robbie Keane, who is a free agent after his release from LA Galaxy in December last year.
The former Republic of Ireland international opted to end his six-year association with the MLS club after having surpassed the 100 goal-mark.
Keane has since received offers from the Australian A-league, but he knocked back their advances in order to take time on his next decision.
According to The Birmingham Mail, Redknapp is in contact with a number of his former players with Keane being a potential candidate to spearhead the attack next season.
The Championship has seen plenty of surprises with veterans with Yann Kermorgant playing a key role in Reading's progress to the play-off final.
Keane worked alongside Redknapp at former club Tottenham Hotspur, and he could be offered a final challenge in England before calling quits on his professional career.
Apart from Spurs, the 36-year-old has featured for several west Midlands clubs which include Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Coventry City.
