Fulham sign former Chelsea attacker on loan
Fulham have announced the signing of German attacker Andre Schurrle from Borussia Dortmund on a two-year loan deal.
The 27-year-old struggled to make an impression during his two seasons with Dortmund and he has now made the switch to the Premier League, where he previously plyed his trade for Chelsea between 2013 and 2015.
"I'm so happy to be here, I can't wait to get started. Fulham were the first club that showed interest in me - that was something that I appreciated a lot, and one of the reasons I wanted to come here," he told the Fulham website.
The Cottagers have certainly been choosy in terms of their recruits this summer and Schurrle becomes their second high-profile capture after the record signing of Jean Michael Seri from Nice this month.
Meanwhile, Fulham could soon announce another attacking addition into their squad with negotiations at an advance stage with Newcastle United for Aleksandar Mitrovic, who impressed on a short-term loan last term.
