Liverpool making strides towards signing Croatian star

Liverpool have reportedly agreed contractual terms with Croatian defender Domagoj Vida and they are now in negotiations with Besiktas regarding the transfer fee.
Vida, 29, was one of the standout performers for Croatia in their run to the World Cup final this summer and this has attracted interest from a wide range of clubs including Everton and Arsenal.
However, according to Turkish outlet A Spor, the Reds appear to have a clear advantage in signing the centre-back after verbally agreeing terms over a two-year contract.
Nevertheless, Jurgen Klopp's side need to sort out the final valuation with the Black Eagles, who are said to demand at least £22m for the former Dynamo Kyiv man.
Liverpool have so far acquired the likes of Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker in the transfer window and Vida could end up as their fifth and final signing before next month's deadline.
