Palhinha approach back on the cards?

Bayern Munich's chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen has admitted that a move for Fulham's Portuguese midfielder Palhinha could be back on, after a deal collapsed for the player last summer. Palhinha has been one of the Cottagers' best players so far this campaign and Bayern are currently sitting seven points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, leaving the German side seeking new signings in the transfer window.

Dreesen is a huge fan of Palhinha, and personally contacted the player's representatives in order to try and tempt the Fulham star to make a move.

Now, Dreesen admits that a January move is not completely out of the question. He told reporters: "Sometimes you see each other more than twice in life. You should never rule anything out."

Before continuing, "Our focus is currently on the right-back position."

Bayern Munich may need to pay as much as 75 million to force Fulham into a sale, as Palhinha, whilst keen on a move to Germany, has a long-term contract at Craven Cottage. Manager Marco Silva also intends to keep his star player around for as long as is possible.
