Arsenal target Grenier ready to leave Lyon

02 June 2013 - 04:46

Clement Grenier has strongly hinted that a move to Arsenal this summer is a possibility. The Lyon midfielder is very highly rated by French manager Arsene Wenger; the Gunners have been tracking Grenier for over two years.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • Dubbed "the pass master" in France, Grenier had played in 28 games this year for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring 7 goals and making a further 6.
Gunners fans are desperate to find a replacement for the likes of Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas, who left in recent seasons. Grenier would be a perfect acquisition to fit that mould.
"I have made a decision about which club I will join this summer," said Grenier.
"I have made the choice for sporting reasons above all. Is it Arsenal? It could be them.
"There is competition for places there, but you get that at all big clubs. It won’t stop me making my decision."
