The Bosnian International has failed to seal a permanent starting berth in the first team line up since his arrival from Wolfsburg in 2011 for a fee of &pound;27m.<br />

Dzeko looks likely to leave the Etihad during the New Year, having fallen behind the likes of Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo in the pecking order.<br />

The news is expected to alert Gunners manager Arsene Wenger who is keen on signing a top class striker to complement Olivier Giroud, during the New Year.
