Arsenal to offer new deal to Laurent Koscielny

Arsenal are ready to offer a new contract to French star defender Laurent Koscielny in the summer, according to The Telegraph.

  • The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has made concerted efforts to tie down the club's top players over the past few weeks, with the likes of Per Mertesacker,Tomas Rosicky being the first to commit their futures to the North London outfit, followed by Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and youngster Gedion Zelalem, all penning improved deals at the club the previous day.

     

    The Telegraph claims that Wenger is now prepared to provide Koscielny with a new deal with a bumper pay rise, following his excellent defensive partnership with Per Mertesacker since the start of the season.

     

    The Gunners look set to break their nine-year wait for a trophy, with the club considered favourites to win the FA Cup this season.
