Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly eager to secure the services of one of La Liga's best this summer.
France international Karim Benzema has been long linked with a switch to the Gunners.
According to Metro, Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti could be tempted into the player's sale in the summer, as he seeks to bring in a young striker to his squad.
It is further added that Benzema is not a fan favourite at the Bernabeu, and could be sold this summer having seen his stock rise due to his excellent form this season.
Arsenal would require a fee of at least £35.5m to sign up the talented marksman.
