Belgian international and Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco is the latest player to be linked with a move to the Emirates. The 22-year-old is believed to be weighing up his options after the lack of playing time last season.
Ferreira-Carrasco joined the La Liga giants from AS Monaco last summer, and featured in 43 games in all competitions.
However, most of the appearances came in short stints with manager Diego Simeone reluctant to offer him with 90 minutes of competitive action.
The Express says the Gunners have made contact with Atleti representatives, expressing their interest in landing the pacey attacker.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is currently on the search for a forward-minded player with Danny Welbeck out for the rest of the year, while no assurances can be given on the unperforming English pairing of Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Ferreira-Carrasco scored the equaliser coming in as a substitute in the Champions League final but this was not enough to give his side the upperhand as they lost to Real Madrid on penalties. ( 1-1 after extra-time, Real won 5-4 in shoot-out)
