Monaco demand £25m for Man Utd target

AS Monaco are unlikely to let go of Fabinho this summer, unless a club matches his £25m asking price. The Brazilian has been on Manchester United's radar for somewhile as Jose Mourinho plots to strengthen his right-back position.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Fabinho has developed into key player for the Principality outfit, and this has captured interest from numerous clubs including Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

French daily L'Equipe says Monaco have placed a £25m price tag on the player's head as they try their utmost to keep hold of his services this month.

Mourinho has recently urged the Red Devils' hierarchy to lodge a bid for 22-year-old, but the player's valuation is well beyond their estimate - £18m.

United currently have Antonio Valencia as the make-shift right-back with the 'Special One' reluctant to play Matteo Darmian in his team.

The Mancunian giants have spent over £145m this summer bringing in the likes of Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, and this has limited their ambitions for the time left in the transfer window.
