Guardiola plots Spurs raid

03 April 2017 - 20:16

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is plotting to sign three of Tottenham's England internationals this summer, as he looks to add more homegrown talent to his squad.

  • Chelsea eyeing part-exchange deal to sign Osimhen
  • Chelsea & Arsenal handed blow in Bundesliga striker pursuit

  • In Guardiola's current squad there are only two English players that feature regularly, in the form of John Stones and Raheem Sterling. The Spanish manager has openly admitted that he will look to bring more English players to the Etihad, although he is wary of their large price tags.

Reports in the Manchester Evening News suggest that Guardiola is plotting an ambitious attempt to sign Dele Alli, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker from fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

This would see City's questionable back line strengthened whilst also adding the attacking flair of the ever improving Alli. Tottenham are looking to keep on building on the progress that they have made in recent years so they will not want to lose three of their key players, particularly to a team that is competing with them at the top of the Premier League.

If this deal is to be completed, Manchester City would have to part with a huge amount of money. However, if anybody has the kind of money to be able to pull it off, it's the Manchester club.
