Scottish champions are reportedly willing to pay a loan fee of around £500,000 in order to secure the services of Manchester City's Patrick Roberts for another season.
The England under-20 forward has been in fine form for the Glasgow giants this season after having contributed nine goals and 17 assists en route to a potential domestic treble.
According to The Sun, Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to keep the ex-Fulham man for another campaign as he hopes to make progress in Europe next term.
However, there is a possibility that the move may not go through with City boss Pep Guardiola willing to integrate the player into his pre-season squad ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Pep has already underlined his desire to recruit local talents, and it is understood that he may depend on the academy graduates rather than spend big on rival players.
Roberts, who joined the Mancunian giants from Fulham for £12m in 2015, also spent the second half of last season with Celtic - weighing in six goals in 11 league outings.
