Manchester United are reportedly favourites to sign Real Madrid frontman Alvaro Morata after his agent Juanma Lopez seemingly dismissed a move to AC Milan.
The Rossoneri have been stepping the gas in the transfer market this term after having recruited the likes of Mateo Musacchio, Franck Kessie, Ricardo Rodriguez and Andre Silva to bolster their squad.
In spite of their spending spree, Morata appears to be leading towards a move to Old Trafford with the prospect of a reunion with the Special One, who gave him his Los Blancos debut.
Speaking to Calciomercato, Lopez said fond words of United by insisting that they are a 'very interesting option' for his client.
"They are a club of great charm, a very interesting option.I can say there’s a very important proposal and the decision rests with Real. I cannot tell [if it will be done quickly], we’ll see." he told Calciomercato.
Real Madrid are currently hoping for a £78m package for their second-choice striker, but United are expected to hold further negotiations in order to lower the overall transfer value.
Despite being a bit-part player under Zinedine Zidane, Morata managed to bag 20 goals across all competitions last term.
