Joe Hart's reputation in the English game has taken a dramatic fall in the last couple of years, seeing him move from England and Manchester City's first choice goalkeeper to struggling to make the West Ham starting lineup and many calling for him to be dropped from England's World Cup squad. After two seasons away from Manchester City on loan, a permanent deal for Hart could now be on the horizon.
Reports today suggest that West Ham United manager David Moyes is considering a move for Joe Hart this summer that would see his current loan spell extended on a permanent basis, despite a string of costly errors from the 31-year-old.
Hart's latest slip up came against Premier League strugglers Stoke City on Monday which allowed Peter Crouch to give The Potters the lead, only for Andy Carroll to equalise shortly after.
Whilst Hart has shown in the past that he has undoubted ability, his form this season would mean that a deal for him by The Hammers would result in a mixed reaction from fans, particularly with a number of them already unhappy with some of the decisions being made by the club.
The goalkeeper also has international issues to worry about with the World Cup rapidly approaching. Hart has been England's first choice for a number of years now, but Jack Butland and Jordan Pickford have both made solid cases to take that jersey from him and Burnley's Nick Pope determined to keep Hart out of the squad altogether.
