Everton to make move for Celtic defender

Everton to make move for Celtic defender

30 June 2018 - 07:03

Everton are ready to make a £25m bid for Celtic left full-back Kieran Tierney, according to Mirror Football.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • New Everton boss wants a clear-out of players in his squad and the club has already seen the likes of Wayne Rooney, Ramiro Funes Mori, Joel Robles, Jose Baxter, Conor Grant and David Henan leave the club.

Everton could also let go of Kevin Mirallas, Morgan Schneiderlin, Yannick Bolasie, Ourmar Niasse, Sandro Ramirez and Davy Klaassen as the transfer window progresses.

Tierney, 21, could fit in as a successor to Leighton Baines who is 34 years old.

With the transfer window ending on the 9th of August, fans of Everton will probably be wondering how soon they will be able to complete a reshuffle of a team with so many unwanted players.

Celtic are reportedly unwilling to sell the defender, but £25m is a huge sum that could just persuade the Scottish giants to sell. The Premier League could also be the best place for the youngster to take his career to a higher level.
