Barcelona want Paul Pogba in January?

29 September 2018 - 17:50

Barcelona are reportedly plotting an attempt to sign midfielder Paul Pogba from Manchester United as early as the January transfer window.

  • Arsenal to confirm second summer signing tomorrow
  • Chelsea have just signed Brazilian star for £60m

  • The France international was involved in a heated discussion with United boss Jose Mourinho earlier in the week and his future has since been called into question despite him featuring in the recent loss at West Ham United.

According to The Independent, Barcelona are prepared to retain their interest in Pogba ahead of the winter transfer window after failing with an approach during the summer.

At the start of August, the Blaugrana had proposed a £45m cash offer on top of Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina as makeweights but United decided to swiftly knock back their advances.

The Blaugrana have since been associated with a probable winter move for Ajax's Frenkie de Jong but it appears that they could revive their pursuit of Pogba, who has seemingly fallen out with the club's head coach.

Pogba started the recent Premier League game at West Ham United but he was subbed off shortly after the hour mark as he struggled to make a notable impact in the 3-1 defeat.
