Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-3-3) vs Paris Saint-Germain, Rashford and Lukaku start

04 March 2019 - 18:19

Manchester United will be aiming to overcome a 2-0 deficit when they face Paris Saint-Germain in the away leg of the Champions League round of 16.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Red Devils are currently in an injury crisis and this is likely to witness a very different side from the home leg with Diogo Dalot, Fred among others coming into the mix.

    Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Lineup:

David de Gea has been the constant figure in goal for the Premier League and Champions League duties this campaign and he is certain to feature in goal at Parc des Princes.

In the defence, no changes are expected from recent matches. Ashley Young and Luke Shaw should slot into the right and left-back positions respectively with Chris Smalling partnering Victor Lindelof at the heart of the backline.

In the midfield, Paul Pogba will miss the game after his red card in the previous European meeting. In his absence, Fred is likely to return to the mix to partner Scott McTominay and Andreas Pereira.

The trio have been on the fringes of the team this term but they have got their chance to impress with Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera presently on the sidelines through injuries.

In the attack, Marcus Rashford is certain to feature on the left wing and he could be partnered by Diogo Dalot on the opposite end with Anthony Martial still doubtful with a groin concern while Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata are out through respective injuries.

Upfront, Romelu Lukaku should lead the line without doubt. The Belgian has bagged two goals in each of the previous two league matches and this should offer him the much-needed confidence in the lead-up to the game.
