  • The Hammers were linked with the Bosnia international at the turn of the year but a deal could not materialise with the Giallorossi reluctant to discuss a mid-season transfer for the marksman.

However, according to The Express, the Hammers could make a renewed attempt at the end of the season with manager Manuel Pellegrini informing the hierarchy that he wants the Bosnian at the club.

The potential arrival of Dzeko could coincide with the departure of Marko Arnautovic, whose form with the club has nosedived since being denied a winter departure to the Far East.

The Austrian penned a new long-term contract with the Hammers to dispel in January to dispel any rumours but reports indicate that he could still be offloaded in a deal worth £50m in the summer.
