Manchester United reject fresh swap proposal for Romelu Lukaku

10 June 2019 - 18:09

Manchester United have reportedly turned down the prospect of signing Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic in a potential exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku this summer.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • New Nerazzurri boss Antonio Conte is said to be eager to pursue Romelu Lukaku during the summer transfer window with Mauro Icardi expected to be shown the exit door.

According to The Sun, the Nerazzurri are understood to have proposed a cash-plus-player deal involving Perisic to sign Lukaku but their advances have been quickly turned down by the Red Devils.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are currently said to value Lukaku at around £80m and it is claimed that the club are in no desperation to sell unless a suitor comes close to their asking price.

Lukaku contributed a tally of just 15 goals during the course of the previous campaign and there were occasions in the backend of the season where Marcus Rashford was preferred ahead of him to lead the line.
