Juventus are reported to be eyeing a late move for Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren following a long-term injury to Giorgio Chiellini.
Chiellini has been a huge performer for the Bianconeri for the past 14 years but he has now suffered a serious knee problem which will sideline him for six months.
According to Sky Italy, the Bianconeri are looking at the prospect of signing an experienced centre-back and they have earmarked Lovren as a potential target before Monday's transfer deadline.
The Bianconeri currently have the services of Leonardo Bonucci, Daniele Rugani, Matthijs de Ligt and Merih Demiral to perform the centre-back duties but they are nonetheless keen on a new recruit.
Liverpool have already turned down a loan approach from Roma for Lovren but it is suggested that they could still sanction the sale of the Croatian, should they receive a significant purchase offer in the next 24 hours.
Lovren is currently the fourth-choice centre-back in the Reds ranks with Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez ahead of him in the selection order under Jurgen Klopp.
