Chelsea have reportedly renewed their interest in signing Fedor Chalov from CSKA Moscow ahead of this summer's transfer window.
The Russian was closely monitored by the Blues when Maurizio Sarri was at the helm but they decided against making a move in January 2019.
According to The Mail, Blues boss Frank Lampard wants to recruit a young striker this summer with Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi likely to head through the exit door.
The same outlet suggests that they could revive their pursuit of Chalov, who was the subject of a failed approach from Crystal Palace last summer.
Chalov bagged 17 goals and seven assists last season but his performances have dipped this term with just six goals and six assists in all competitions.
Still, CSKA expect a number of offers for the 21-year-old and they are looking for something around £25m to part ways with the Russian forward.
He has represented his national side on a couple of occasions.
