Predicted Manchester United XI vs Aston Villa

Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-2-3-1) to face Aston Villa, Bailly and Fernandes start

09 July 2020 - 18:37

Manchester United are scheduled to face Aston Villa on the road tonight. The Red Devils have won their previous three league games and a victory at Villa Park will close the gap to fourth-placed Leicester City to just one point.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Burnley clash
  • Man Utd attacker suspended for Brentford game

  • Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Lineup:

David de Gea has been ever-present in goal for the Red Devils in the Premier League. He is expected to start. In the defence, there should be the solitary change with Eric Bailly taking up the place of Victor Lindelof, who is struggling with a back problem.

In the centre of the park, Nemanja Matic could be offered a breather. Scott McTominay could take up the Serbian's position in the midfield alongside Paul Pogba. Further forward, Bruno Fernandes is expected to feature in the number 10 position.

The Portuguese has been in stupendous form since the restart and he has bagged four goals and two assists in his previous four league appearances. Elsewhere, the frontline should remain unchanged from recent games. Anthony Martial should lead the line with Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood flanking him either side.

Predicted Lineup: David de Gea, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford.
