Manchester United could revive their interest in signing Manchester City defender Nathan Ake this summer.
The Red Devils were keen on landing the Dutchman last summer, but the Cityzens beat them to signing him from Bournemouth.
Ake has since played just 993 minutes of football, and he was a regular on the bench for most of the campaign.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils could plot a raid on their arch-rivals with their long-term interest in Ake.
Ake is currently the fourth-choice central defender at City behind Ruben Dias, John Stones and Aymeric Laporte.
United could offer him regular game time with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanting a left-footed centre-back to partner Harry Maguire.
Ake was signed for £40m last summer. United may need to offer a similar fee to try and convince City to offload him.
United have also been linked with Villarreal's Pau Torres, but he has a release clause worth £56m on his contract.
