Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Rashford starts

26 December 2023 - 19:20

Manchester United welcome Aston Villa to Old Trafford for tonight's Premier League clash.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • The Red Devils are winless in three league games and will be aiming to end the streak.

    Predicted Line-up:

Andre Onana has been an undisputed starter in goal for the whole campaign and he is expected to start again.

Diogo Dalot is back from his suspension and should replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back. Luke Shaw is set to continue on the left side of the backline.

In the heart of the defence, Raphael Varane should be reinstated alongside Jonny Evans after his illness. Willy Kambwala should drop back to the bench.

Kobbie Mainoo made a mistake in the weekend defeat at West Ham and could be replaced by Sofyan Amrabat in holding midfield. We prefer Christian Eriksen to Scott McTominay in the number eight role.

Further forward, there could be a solitary change. Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho should continue in the number 10 and left wing positions.

However, we anticipate Marcus Rashford to come in for Antony on the right wing. The latter has been poor in the final third with no goal contributions.

Rasmus Hojlund has not scored in the Premier League yet, but he is expected to start up front. Anthony Martial looks set to miss out due to illness again.

Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1): Onana; Dalot, Evans, Varane, Shaw; Amrabat, Eriksen; Rashford, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund.
