Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed an injury blow for Gabriel Jesus following the 2-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa on the road.
The Gunners continued their perfect start to the campaign with a victory at Villa Park. Leandro Trossard and Thomas Partey were the goalscorers.
Speaking after the game, Arteta was quizzed over the absence of Jesus. In response, the Spaniard confirmed an injury setback for the Brazilian.
He added that the club are a little bit short in options after the unfortunate blow and they could explore a forward signing in the transfer market.
He said: "We are really happy with the squad. It's true we had an injury with Gabriel Jesus and we missed him. We are a little bit short and if we can do something then we will do it."
Arsenal have moved to third in the Premier League standings after the win. They entertain Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break.
