Matuidi to Arsenal?

Arsenal have reportedly made an offer for St Etienne starlet Blaise Matuidi. It is understood that Arsene Wenger is set to offer £7 million for the midfielder.

As the Gunners have struggled to match expectations, and find a suitable replacement for Mathieu Flamini in the summer, it appears that Matuidi could be the primary target for the January transfer window.



The player has impressed at French Ligue 1 side Saint Etienne in recent months, and Wenger's chief scout Gilles Grimandi has sent glowing references back to London.
