20 January 2009 - 06:57

Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear has admitted that he is likely to make some big changes to his squad over the coming months and in the summer. There have been a series of high profile names linked with a Toon exit.

  • Chelsea have held talks for Ayyoub Bouaddi
  • Chelsea want Newcastle star to replace Cucurella?
  • Shay Given, Michael Owen, Mark Viduka, Steven Taylor and Steve Harper are among some of the first-team squad members that have all been linked with shock exits from St. James'.

Kinnear himself admitted that exits were likely: “Providing we stay up things will have to be done. We’ll have to sit down and talk.”

It is understood that Newcastle are keen on signing two or three new players in the summer, and Emile Heskey has been mentioned as a potential target.
