Man City make huge bid for Sanchez

It is understood that Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has made a huge £40 million offer for Chile international winger Alexis Sanchez. According to reports, his move to Barcelona has frozen and now Manchester City have trumped their offer with a huge offer.

  • After an impressive season in Serie A last year - scoring 12 goals in 27 games - Barcelona made their interest public and told the press they would make a move.

However, Barca's financial problems have scuppered the move; now Man City are prepared to hijack a deal with a new £40 million offer.

<a href='http://tweetmygoal.com/player/234/Alexis-Sanchez/'>Alexis Sanchez</a> is regarded as one of the best young players in the world, and eyefootball.com famously <a href='http://www.eyefootball.com/news/399/'>showcased him</a> in this report from 2007.

It is believed that Roberto Mancini wants to use David Silva and Alexis Sanchez as his two wide men for the 2011-12 season.
