Manuel Almunia to Newcastle?

Manuel Almunia has been linked with a shock move to Premiership rivals Newcastle from Arsenal. The Spaniard has fallen down to third choice goalkeeper at the Emirates.

Almunia has been told that he can leave if a 2m GBP transfer fee is matched; and reportedly the Toon are ready to make the offer.

Tim Krul and Steve Harper are on the books at St James' Park, but Tim Krul is getting impatient with a lack of first team opportunities and there is some talk that he may have to quit the club.
