Chelsea in for Gary Cahill
Chelsea in for Gary Cahill
Chelsea are prepared to go head to head with Arsenal to sign Bolton defender Gary Cahill, according to reports on Thursday morning. The Bolton defender has been told that he can leave the club if an offer of 15m GBP is matched.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is desperately trying to find defensive cover for the new season, after a few shoddy displays last year. The Gunners have already let Gael Clichy leave for Man City, and will apparently let Sebastien Squillaci leave this summer too.
However, Chelsea new boss Andre Villas-Boas has told his directors that he wants to make a bid for the England prospect Cahill, and will offer the reported 15m GBP that Bolton are requesting.
