6 weeks out for van der Vaart

Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart will face six weeks on the sidelines. The Dutchman tore his hamstring in the 5-1 defeat to Man City.

It is a bitter blow for Harry Redknapp and Tottenham, who hoped the midfielder would be able to continue his impressive form.

"It's the last thing we need. It's a bad injury and he was in good form for us," said Spurs boss Redknapp.
