Preview: Liverpool vs Norwich

Fifth place Liverpool host Norwich in Saturday's late Premier League kick off, with the Reds hoping to leapfrog Newcastle into fourth, and Norwich eyeing a victory that could see the Canaries in 5th place.

- Bolton vs Sunderland
- Wolves vs Swansea

Kick off: Saturday, 22 October - 1730.

Liverpool, buoyed by the return to action of captain Steven Gerrard, are hoping to win all three points in their Premier League game this weekend.

Kenny Dalglish's men are improving with every game and are looking like a Champions League side again. Last weekend Liverpool were unlucky not to beat Manchester United, but are planning to take all 3 points when Norwich City come to Anfield on Saturday.

Norwich, on the other hand, are enjoying a wonderful return to the Premier League top flight so far, and the hard working side seem to have constructed a side full of grafting midfielders that likes to get forward in the first half and shut up shop for the remainder of the game. A win at Anfield would be the first time since 1994 that Norwich have achieved such a feat.

Liverpool are missing Lucas; who is suspended after picking up five yellow cards this season already, but Daniel Agger and Glen Johnson could return after injuries.

For Norwich, Steve Morison could return and Grant Holt has reportedly returned to training.

Dalglish: we've been unlucky

The Liverpool boss is hoping that a big win over Norwich will help be a confidence boost for a side that have dropped several points unnecessarily this season.

“We have played well enough in a lot of games to have won more points than we have got,” Dalglish said.

“It’s up to us to put it to bed if we get the chance. But you also need a bit of luck, and I don’t think we’ve had too much luck.

“It helps when you can put the game out of sight.”
