Arsenal step up Esteban Granero interest
Arsenal have stepped up their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero. Many reports in Spain have linked the Gunners with a 7.5m GBP move for the out of favour 24 year old.
Arsenal signed Mikel Arteta as a replacement for Cesc Fabregas in the summer, but so far the former Everton man has failed to settle and the Gunners are weighing up a move for Granero.
In recent years, under Jose Mourinho, Granero has often been limited to time on the bench as Real Madrid preferred to play Lassana Diarra in the midfield holding role.
Fabio Coentrao has also been played as a central midfielder instead of Granero.
Granero has found his playing time limited to just two La Liga games.
