Harry Redknapp tax trial starts today
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp's tax evasion trial starts today. The Spurs manager goes to court to defend accusations of cheating public revenue during his time as Portsmouth manager.
The court case contests two payments paid by then Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric to Redknapp in between 2002 and 2007. Redknapp is amongst the candidates to take the England job once Fabio Capello steps down after Euro 2012, and so the former West Ham, Southampton and Portsmouth boss will be hoping for a positive outcome.
Redknapp is represented by John Kelsey-Fry QC in the case whilst Lord Ken Macdonald QC represents Milan Mandaric.
