Moyes rues missed FA Cup opportunity
Everton manager David Moyes was left to muse over a massive opportunity to win his first silverware since taking charge of the Toffees, as Everton threw away a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 to Liverpool at Wembley yesterday.
Liverpool will now head to Wembley for the FA Cup final against Tottenham or Chelsea. However, David Moyes was left to think about "what might have been" had his side been able to hold on to a 1-0 half time lead.
"It was a great opportunity for us to give ourselves a chance to play in another Wembley final," said Moyes.
"With the way we've been playing it was our chance but it wasn't to be. There were only small margins between the sides. It was a mistake that changed the game. We were so desperate to get to the final for the supporters and we felt we were in good shape.
"It was a good opportunity to get to the final and when it goes like that you feel sorry for them all."
