West Ham close in on Carroll capture
West Ham have finally reached an agreement with Liverpool over a potential transfer for forward Andy Carroll. The Hammers will pay a reported £15 million for the former Newcastle striker.
Carroll scored 7 goals in 24 games for West Ham and impressed many at the club; his behaviour has reportedly convinced Sam Allardyce to sign the player on a permanent deal.
According to reports, Carroll has yet to agree terms with West Ham as the player is not willing to take a pay cut in his reported £90,000 per week salary. The Hammers are at this point only offering £75,000.
