Man Utd to complete Kevin Strootman deal

Dutch international midfielder Kevin Strootman looks set to become David Moyes' first signing since becoming Manchester United manager. The PSV Eindhoven midfielder will complete a 9 million Euro move to Old Trafford.

Strootman is being brought to the club as a possible replacement for Paul Scholes who retired last season, whilst Darren Fletcher continues to suffer with a serious stomach condition and is unlikely to be a regular first team player until mid-season.

The 23-year-old former Sparta Rotterdam and Utrecht player has featured regularly for the Dutch side last season, scoring 6 goals in 25 games.

Strootman is able to play as a central midfield playmaker or as a defensive midfielder.
