Arsenal's bid for Suarez rejected
The North London club are ready to offer big for the want-away Liverpool striker Luiz Suarez.Arsenal have failed in an ambitious bid to sign Liverpool’s forward Luis Suarez, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The Gunners had made a formal approach for the Uruguayan International by placing an offer of £30 million to the Anfield side for the striker .The Reds dismissed the proposal immediately and have said that clubs which is having interest in their star player will have to pay £40 million to get his signature.
The bid from the Gunners came as a surprise to the Anfield side as The Reds were readying themselves, thinking that a transfer proposal from Real Madrid would be arriving at some point during the summer with Suarez said to interested in a switch to the Spanish La Liga giants but they weren’t expecting the interest from the London club.
Having been rejected once on the player, It would be interesting to see whether Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger would be willing to put up a higher offer to induce Liverpool in allowing their star striker a route to the Emirates.
