Cristiano Ronaldo will retire at Real Madrid
28-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Real Madrid until the end of his career, according to Real's president Florentino Perez. The Portuguese international had been linked with an emotional return to Man Utd.
In an interview last month, Ronaldo told reporters that he had no plans to quit Real if they wanted to keep him; however David Moyes did reportedly consider bringing the winger back to United.
"The person who wants to retire at Real Madrid is Ronaldo, and Real want him to retire here too," Perez revealed.
"There haven't been any negotiations [on a new deal] because he is on holiday. Be in no doubt, Cristiano will retire here because he wants to. Just as [Zinedine] Zidane and other great players have done."
