Carlton Cole rejoins West Ham United on a three-month contract
Carlton Cole has rejoined West Ham United on a three-month contract, following his immense work to regain full fitness in the past few weeks.
The former England International spent the past few weeks in the Hammers' training ground in an attempt to regain his fitness and successfully came through a match behind-closed-doors against Charlton Athletic unscathed last week.
Cole has rejoined the Hammers on a three-month deal, having been released by the club during the summer, as manager Sam Allardyce suggested the lack of strike force as the main reason for the capture of the player's signature.
The deal came through after Cole failed to find a new club since his release, after which the London outfit announced of the player's return to the club on a short-term deal.
Carlton Cole has made 237 appearances for the club, scoring 59 goals in the process.
