Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund to bid for Arsenal striker?

Footballing giants Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are eyeing a switch for Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski during the winter transfer window, according to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.

Atletico Madrid were said to be interested in the German International's services during the summer, but failed to entice the Gunners in letting the player go. However, latest reports suggest that they are tracking the player's condition and would come up with a new transfer offer for the 28-year-old.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund are considering Lukas Podolski as a possible replacement for Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who looks certain to leave the club in the summer.

Podolski who is yet to recover from a hamstring injury, faces stiff competition from the likes of Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, and Aaron Ramsey for a starting spot in the Gunners line-up.
