Newcastle eye move for Joleon Lescott
Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is reportedly planning a January swoop for Manchester City centre-back Joleon Lescott.
The talented England international has found himself on the fringes of the first-team ever since the arrival of Serbian youngster Matija Nastasic from Fiorentina, and was linked with a switch back to Everton during the summer,
With Manuel Pellegrini not providing the defender with enough game time, the defender looks set to spell an end to his playing career at the Etihad, with The Magpies interested in acquiring his services during the January transfer window.
Premier League champions Manchester United are also monitoring the centre-back's transfer situation heading in to the New Year.
Lescott joined the Citizens from Everton in 2009 for a fee worth £22m.
