Chelsea sign Burkina Faso youngster Bertrand Traore

Chelsea have completed the signing of Burkina Faso attacking midfielder Bertrand Traore on a four-and-a-half-year-deal.

The talented 18-year-old, who had a trial with the West London club in the summer, agreed to join the Blues in October, but the move could not be completed until the transfer window reopened.


Traore insisted that he was happy to have joined the club and have the opportunity to play alongside some of his favorite players.


"My favourite players are Juan Mata, Mesut Ozil and Eden Hazard," Traore said."They're very good players and I am trying to be like them. At Chelsea I look to follow the way of some African legends like Didier Drogba, Michael Essien and now Samuel Eto'o."


Traore has been capped 11 times by the Burkina Faso senior side.
