Arsenal eye swoop for Serie A star?

Arsenal are apparently been linked with a move for one of the hottest prospects coming out of the Serie A.

The Gunners are believed to be preparing a move for AS Roma's Italian striker Mattia Destro, with manager Arsene Wenger keen on adding a new striker to his squad to ease the burden on Olivier Giroud, and Nicklas Bendtner, with England international Theo Walcott set to miss out for the rest of the season.


A report from Rai TV reveals that Wenger has shortlisted the talented 22-year-old as a top transfer target for the club, who have been in contact with the player's agent, Claudio Vigorelli, in recent days.


Destro joined the Giallorossi from Siena in the summer of 2012.
