Luke Shaw still on Man Utd radar

Southampton defender Luke Shaw still remains a potential January transfer addition for Manchester United. David Moyes is believed to have made the left back the next on his January wish list to follow Juan Mata into Old Trafford.

Shaw is widely regarded as the best young left back in the United Kingdom and is expected to one day take to place of both Ashley Cole and Leighton Baines in England's international set up.

Chelsea were amongst the teams all interested in the pacey full back but now reports suggest the United are the new favourites to secure Shaw's coveted signing.

Man Utd are believed to have reached an impasse in discussions with Patrice Evra over a brand new contract at Old Trafford and will now switch their attentions to sign Shaw as a replacement.

The Saints' manager Mauricio Pellegrino is believed to be very disappointed that his club are open to offers for their star young player and is now re-assessing his long term future at St. Mary's.
