Atletico Madrid keen on re-signing former star Fernando Torres

Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in securing the services of Chelsea's Spanish striker Fernando Torres during the summer transfer window.

The talented striker who notched up an impressive tally of 82 league goals for Atletico between 2001 and 2007, has failed to cement his place at Stamford Bridge since his big money move from Liverpool in 2011.

 

The Sun reports that the Blues are now prepared to offload the 29-year-old at the end of the season and former club Atletico are interested in a reunion with the player.

 

Its is understood that Chelsea could propose a swap deal for Torres, with Brazilian-born Spanish striker Diego Costa likely to move the other way.
